In the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Sitapur assembly segment had given a lead of 22139 votes to the BJP’s nominee of Sitapur parliamentary seat Rajesh Verma who got 87703 votes in this assembly segment. This is a rise from 43979 votes which the party secured in 2012 assembly election to the seat.
